US-based Iran director honored at film festival

Iranian director Amir Naderi has been honored during the 8th Independent Short Film Festival in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The closing ceremony of the 8th edition of the Independent Short Film Festival was held at the Cinema Theater Hall in Tehran on Tuesday.

The Isfahan Award was presented to US-based Iranian director Naderi as the first obligation of the event.

Member of an Iranian short film society, Anahita Qazvinizadeh, accepted the award on behalf of Naderi, who was not present at the time of the closing ceremony.

The 8th edition of the Independent Short Film Festival started on August 27, 2017.
